A Brand Identity Built for Modern Risk Navigation

[ ABOUT ]

Helping Governments and Businesses Navigate Complexity

FCI Advisory is a technology-driven consultancy that helps businesses and government agencies solve high-stakes, real-world problems. With a focus on business analysis, cybersecurity, and risk management, FCI equips organizations with the strategic insight and digital infrastructure needed to make confident, informed decisions.

By combining deep domain expertise with a tailored, consultative approach, FCI enhances operational resilience and positions its clients for sustained success in a rapidly shifting digital environment.

[ project background ]

From Expert Execution to a Brand That Reflects It

FCI Advisory had built its reputation on capability and execution—but its brand identity didn’t communicate the sophistication or focus of its work. As the firm expanded its services and client base, it needed a brand system that could scale, differentiate its offerings, and reflect the forward-thinking nature of its solutions.

They partnered with Detour to create a brand that not only looked modern and credible but could also support internal consistency, external trust, and strategic growth across both commercial and government sectors.

[ CHALLENGES & LIMITATIONS ]

A Fragmented Identity That Didn’t Match the Mission

The existing FCI brand lacked cohesion. Its visual assets were inconsistent across platforms, its color palette didn’t align with its service structure, and the absence of guidelines made scaling communications inefficient.

Internally, teams had no shared system for applying brand elements. Externally, the visual language failed to express the firm's authority in areas like cybersecurity, strategy, and digital transformation. The brand needed to look as strategic and structured as the services it delivered.

[ THE OBJECTIVES ]

Building a Visual Language That Reflects Structure and Strategy

The rebrand needed to achieve three primary goals:

  • Develop a modern visual identity that communicates trust, clarity, and resilience

  • Differentiate FCI’s service areas with a color-coded system that aligns with its operational model

  • Create a unified toolkit—logo system, typography, patterns, and usage rules—that enables consistent brand execution across print, digital, and government-facing assets

With this, FCI aimed to elevate perception, reduce confusion, and build a strong foundation for long-term visibility.

[ OUR APPROACH ]

Blending Structure, Symbolism, and Simplicity

We grounded our approach in FCI’s values: precision, adaptability, and progress. Inspired by origami and directional motifs, we created a logo system that communicates forward movement, analytical rigor, and creative problem solving.

The abstract “Florence” symbol, built on a grid system, balances asymmetry with structure, reflecting FCI’s ability to bring clarity to complexity. We paired this with bold, legible typography and a gradient-driven palette to establish energy, differentiation, and modernity.

The color system allows each service area, staffing, operations, and implementation, to carry its own identity while reinforcing the overall brand. Every brand element was documented in a detailed set of guidelines to ensure consistency across proposals, digital interfaces, social platforms, and internal communications.

[ THE RESULTS ]

A Brand That Performs With Precision

FCI Advisory now operates with a brand that mirrors the depth and clarity of its work. The new identity instills trust, sharpens perception, and aligns each business unit with a distinct yet unified visual language.

Internally, teams use clear design systems to maintain consistency. Externally, FCI presents itself as a modern, authoritative partner, ready to help clients navigate risk, drive growth, and adapt to an evolving digital world.
